How to see who doesn't follow you back on Instagram — without your password
UnfollowerTracker
Instagram doesn't have a button for "who doesn't follow me back". You can scroll your Following list and open every profile, but past a few hundred accounts that stops being practical.
Most "unfollower" apps solve this by asking you to log in with your Instagram password. Don't. An app that has your password can do anything you can — and it isn't needed, because Instagram already gives you your own lists as a download.
Step 1: Request your export
In Instagram, open your profile, then the menu, and go to Accounts Center → Your information and permissions → Export your information. Create an export for your Instagram profile and choose to download it to your device.
Three settings decide whether the result is right:
- Customize information: select Followers and following. That's all you need, and a smaller export arrives sooner.
- Date range: choose All time. A shorter range leaves out people who followed you before it, and they'd show up as not following you back.
- Format: choose JSON.
Instagram emails you when the file is ready — usually within minutes, sometimes a few hours.
Step 2: Drop the file in
Download the .zip and drop it into the checker on our home page. Don't unzip it. Your browser opens the archive, finds the two follower files and reads them on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
Step 3: Read your lists
You get three lists:
- Don't follow you back — you follow them, they don't follow you.
- You don't follow back — they follow you, you don't follow them.
- Mutuals — you follow each other.
Each name links to the profile, so you can decide what to do in the Instagram app yourself. We never unfollow anyone for you.
Why some results look wrong
If someone you know follows you appears in "Don't follow you back", the export almost certainly didn't cover everything. Request it again with All time and Followers and following selected.
